The Overload Era Council
A call for the people who know something is wrong and feel called to help begin the conversation humanity can no longer afford to avoid.
Raise Your HandSomething is happening to human beings.
I know I am not the only one seeing it.
I see it in my practice. I hear it in conversations. I see it in families, workplaces, schools, relationships, bedrooms, churches, clinics, and nervous systems.
People are exhausted in ways sleep is not fixing. They are distracted in ways discipline is not solving. They are lonely while constantly connected. They are overwhelmed while still technically functioning. They are medicated, self-medicating, scrolling, numbing, performing, producing, collapsing, and then getting up the next day to do it all again.
Because I do not think this is a laziness problem. I do not think this is simply an overmedicated society problem. I do not think this is just a drug problem, workplace problem, social media problem, or mental health problem.
I think we are looking at something bigger.
We are living in an Overload Era.
Why This Council Exists
The Overload Era Council is being formed as a working table where serious people who care about human beings can come together to compare notes, identify patterns, ask better questions, develop recommendations, and begin coordinated action.
This is not intended to be another performative panel. It is not another conference where everyone says the right things and then goes home. It is not about one person, one field, one profession, one ideology, or one institution having the answer.
No single discipline can solve a problem this large alone.
Mine cannot either.
That is the point.
What We Are Looking At
This problem spans biology, psychology, education, technology, economics, family structure, addiction, spirituality, media, policy, healthcare, labor, community, and meaning.
The body does not separate life into specialties. We do.
The nervous system is carrying all of it at once.
That means the solution will not be simple. But complexity cannot become our excuse for inaction. If anything, complexity should be the reason we gather.
Who This Is For
This council is for people who are already seeing pieces of this problem in their work, research, leadership, practice, community, platform, or personal life.
We are seeking people from academia, healthcare, mental health, addiction treatment, education, parenting, spiritual leadership, philanthropy, lawmaking, business, technology, media, writing, art, and community building.
You do not need to have the whole answer. None of us do.
This is for people willing to say, “This is bigger than my field. I have been seeing this too. I do not know the whole answer, but I am willing to help find it.”
Why Now
If we do not respond thoughtfully, we risk more than another stressed-out generation. We risk a lost population across generations.
Children are growing up without enough recovery. Young adults are coming of age without stability. Parents are raising families while overloaded beyond capacity. Workers are burning out inside systems that call collapse a personal failure. Patients are being treated without enough context. Couples are lying beside each other and still feeling alone. Communities are dissolving while everyone tries to survive privately.
It concerns me enough to begin this conversation before the full path is clear.
The Invitation
If you have been seeing this, studying this, treating this, grieving this, living this, or trying to solve one piece of this, I am asking you to bring what you know.
Not for personal glory.
For human repair.
The Overload Era was created by human beings. That means human beings can shape what comes next. But we will not shape it accidentally.
We will shape it by paying attention, gathering, telling the truth, asking better questions, and refusing to surrender humanity to systems we created but no longer fully understand.
